ELSC presents… ART OF STRIPPING

East London Strippers Collective presents… The Art of Stripping, October 2015, our most ambitious, creative and challenging event to date. Hosted by Red Gallery, the Art of stripping is a 1 week long art exhibition, with a program of events running alongside, opening on 22nd of October.

ELSC are a bunch of feisty, articulate, fiercely independent women, who also happen to be strippers. They have come together as a collective, out of shared grievances they have about the poor working conditions and exploitative business practises within their industry. They also lament the stigma surrounding their job; the lack of wider public […]

From Dusk Till Dawn: Art of Stripping Closing Party

East London Strippers Collective presents… From Dusk Till Dawn, a Halloween party like no where else. Our Art of Stripping event at Red Gallery closes on Friday 30th October with a party to end all parties. Get your Halloween costumes planned, it’s gonna be a big one. Taking inspiration directly from the film ‘From Dusk til Dawn’, we will be recreating the Titty Twister club scenes with snake dancing, vampire strippers and plenty of Tequila!

ELSC’s message to Russell Brand

Our founder, Stacey Clare, shared a few choice words with Russell Brand over at our friends Sex and Censorship.

I went to anti-war demos and climate riots, some of my best mates fought high profile climate-justice court trials. What I learned during my informative years as an anti-capitalist rebel I am now applying to my choice of work. As an activist, visual artist and a practising Buddhist I’ve had ample opportunity to re-imagine the world. The task of our generation is re-imagining […]

How to be a good strip club patron, by Oh Joy Sex Toy

We love this Oh Joy Sex Toy comic about being a good strip club patron! It’s so true that as well as treating the women with respect and making sure you have enough money to tip, don’t forget to have a good time! A good attitude, applause, and cheering is infectious and keeps the atmosphere upbeat.
